Telling them to invest heavily.
We all have this tendency that starting a business means investing all of your hard earned money into it and this is the worst advice. Some peoples also take big loans for their business before analyzing anything. Business needs money , no business can run without it. It is the most essential resource but it is not everything to start a business.
I have worked with the people who have invested very minimum amount and started a successful business. I know people who have started their online business from their home and making good amount of money.
So why people advice to invest more into business. Most business consultants also tell people to invest big amount of money. But is it really a necessity ?
well let me tell you one story, that taught me you don’t need heavy money to start a business.
One fine when I meet this women she was with my other friend.
Her house was a normal 1 bhk home in Pune, India. She was a IT graduate from a very nice collage. She had 5 years of work experience in IT operations field. She was successful running a business from home with no employees.
She told me that she can’t go to work due to some personal reasons and want to start her own, but unfortunately she had nothing as a savings money.
Then I said her that you even dont’t have money to hire a web developer for your business how you gonna manage everything ? With this minimum amount how you will be able to run a Marketing agency.
But she was all prepared.
She herself already developed a marketing agency website and her social presence was also good. So here investment was zero at this point. She registered her business under proprietorship in India which you can do online these days without any money.
Her business was set up. My curiosity raised and I asked her. How do you manage to work from home and run a business.
Then she said I don’t need office space because I have an virtual office. I am registered company I yearly pay TAX so no illegal thing at all.
About employees she said she don’t have employees she hires freelancers on contract base. She only pays for the work they do for her.
She hires designers, developers and digital marketers to work for her. she is now having 10 clients in Pune with yearly contract. She is making good money out of it.
She also have a virtual personal assistance who manages everything for her on demand. For telecalling and technical support she hires telecallers from freelancing websites like freelancer.
If any client want to have meeting then she hires a marketing person who is more professional. She is successfully running a business and she started with zero investment. So this lady taught me that you don’t need big loans or big money to start any business.
You need a proper plan and a good strategy and you always need to be ready to work hard.
